ADF Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking (QFCHT)
ADF and the QFCHT signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation and partnership in improving the living conditions of human beings in our societies. This MoU counts as the first step towards the organization of activities and joint events in the near future. The signing took place during a ceremony which was attended by media and personnel from the two foundations, at the QFCHT headquarters on 19 June 2011.
The MoU was signed by Mrs. Maryam Al-Malki the Director-General of the QFCHT, and Mr. Mohsen Marzouk the ADF Secretary-General. Mr. Marzouk expressed his great pleasure about this partnership, asserting the need to link social, political, and institutional freedoms, as well as fostering collaboration and networking in order to combat human trafficking and secure and preserve human rights and dignity . He also hoped that this partnership will be an incentive for other foundations to follow in the same path.
Mrs. Maryam Al-Malki confirmed that the signing of the MoU translates QFCHT’s efforts to network and implement joint actions with third parties to combat human trafficking and achieve the objectives of the two foundations in linking freedom and democracy within a comprehensive and integrated system of human rights in order to achieve justice and social security
